Braxton Brackin
Founder & CEO
Braxton Brackin has a background in rodeo. She grew up learning from her uncle who competed in calf roping, from before she could walk or talk. She has been riding for 27 years now and loves sharing her knowledge with kids and adults alike. She started Butterfly Ranch in 2022 after realizing the community needed a place to let kids and adults alike come and spend time with horses and escape from the city life.
She continues to rodeo and tries to improve her knowledge daily so that she can pass it onto her students and the horses she trains. She not only loves teaching horse riding but also loves helping her students work on their mental game and their ability to think and perform like a winner. Braxton teaches with a firm but effective style, while also trying to empower her students to believe they can do anything they set their minds to.

CalLee Hodnett
Instructor
CalLee was born & raised in Texas but moved to Oklahoma in 2021. Her family owns and operates a ranch in Konawa, where they train rope horses and have ropings and barrel racing jackpots. She has been on a horse since before she could walk, as her dad has rodeoed his entire life. So horses were always around! But she took on a strong passion for gymnastics at age 3. She went on to compete competitively for over a decade, building discipline, strength, and hard work that now carry over into her rodeo life. During covid, Breakaway roping made its breakthrough and gave women and young girls the chance to make a living with a rope in their hands, and wanted to be a part of it. CalLee is passionate about helping others build confidence, technique, and most importantly, a love and respect for the horse!
